Madi (they/them) is a former Texas cowgirl and low-key science geek turned actor, writer, improviser, and teaching artist. They are a recent MFA graduate from The Old Globe & USD Shiley Graduate Theatre Program. Before becoming an actor, Madi played basketball in college (point guard, baby!) and, after college, trained horses on the family farm.
As a performer, Madi specializes in playing lovable oddballs infused with heart, working with heightened text (from Shakespearean verse to procedural technobabble) as well as physical storytelling (mime, physical transformation, stage and screen combat). Their work - in graduate school and with the Groundlings Sunday Company in Los Angeles - has equipped them with an expertise in character transformation and physical comedy.
On screen, Madi often plays the heartfelt outsider questioning authority, the scrappy mechanic who knows their way around a weapon, and the snarky brainiac moonlighting as a hacker. On stage, Madi has portrayed a wide range of characters some of which include…

• Polyxene - the 6-year-old princess and daughter to King Priam- in Giraudoux’s Tiger At The Gates,
• Marcus Andronicus - an ambitious politician and headstrong brother - in Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus,
• Margaret - a flirty and impulsive serving-woman - in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing,
• Elbow - a “delightfully confused” and “spectacularly inept” constable - in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure.
Madi’s solo show Marck Serge, Man Made: A Man Alone, Inside A Man: A Solo Show About Hardship Through Torture debuted as a part of their MFA thesis presentation in San Diego in 2026 and is currently in development as an hour-long special, featuring Madi as the hyper-masculine Marck Serge, a young celebrity actor, performing his solo show in an effort to legitimize his craftmanship and intensify his fame.
Their stage plays LADY FACE and SYSTEMS were workshopped and produced as staged readings by Bespoke Plays in 2022. In June 2024, their play TUCK & TAMI ARE OKAY WITH GAY PEOPLE received a staged reading at The Road in North Hollywood. And most recently, their musical SWIFT ILL received a staged reading at Diversionary in San Diego in August 2025.
The queer sci-fi short EVERY MORNING, written by Madi, was produced by Spacetime Production with Dr. Erin Macdonald as lead producer and Kelly Lohman directing. Madi acts in the film alongside Mary Chieffo with Terry Farrell featured as “Dr. Adan”.
Madi is an alum of the Groundlings Sunday Company, Impro Theatre, and Ripley Improv in Los Angeles.
